The KK knife (the Kolt Knife) is a traditional designed knife where the
clean lines dominate the blade, the handle and the sheath. The history
of the design goes back to the times when the knife was a common tool in
your daily life, no matter if you were a hunter or a farmer. The knife
is not intended for waist belt carry. Instead, it is intended for parts
of the body where access to the knife is at best, like in your pocket,
or around your neck. By offering a safe, comfortable handle, and a very
strong blade with an extremely sharp edge, the non-aggressive design
provides a knife which should fit any hand, and any task. The safe
click-lock, hygienic zytel sheath protects the edge and stores the knife
safely when off duty.
Steel
Satin finish laminate 402J2/CoS steel, HRC 60.
Edge
The edge is convex, pretty thin so called ICE edge, improved convex
edge.
Blade
Wide, hidden tang construction, lanyard hole of standard size.
Handle
Thermorun handle with checkered sides.
Crossguard
Black stainless crossguard, securely fastened to the
blade tang.
Sheath
The sheath is in injection molded polyamide (zytel)
where a lever is locking over the crossguard. The sheath has got a thumb
press notch for releasing the knife from its sheath on top, the release
power should be equivalent with the force of around 10 N (10 kp) or 1
kg. This force is adjusted with the thickness and length of the locking
lever of the sheath. The sheath is made with small tolerances for
avoiding the edge to faulty cut in the sheath.
